Is knowledge any use for looking at paintings? These images by Alexis Harding, the
sliding bands, great chasms and valleys, the broken fragments falling into a heap,
are exciting without any advanced knowledge of art.
I think his paintings are about
refined and subtle visual balances, which anyone can appreciate, and, also, a feel
